John Hirsh was our next door neighbor, dear friend and fellow poker player for 16+ years. He was the first person to kindly walk up to our door and welcome our family to the neighborhood and his granddaughter Kelsey was the first child to walk into our house and introduce herself to us and our girls and start playing with them. Over the years it was clearly evident that John was always ready to give you the shirt off his back if he thought it could help you. He and Joan were there for us at every event, good or painfully sad. John consistently reminded us while looking us straight in the eye that "if you every need anything guys, PLEASE do not hesitate to let us know, we are just right next door!" That was John but what was also John was that immediate big grin he always gave you when he saw you or when he was taking your money at poker.. We will miss him a great deal and may God welcome him with open arms but also give much needed strength to his soulmate Joan and all of their family during this huge loss. Love Chafic, Sheila, Tatiana, Drew, Amina & Bryson
