John Scalf Obituary

SCALF

John W. Scalf, 90, of Maineville, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corp. John worked as an engineer, beginning at Schenely Distilleries and retiring from the Drackett Company. He was a past Boy Scout Troop Master, a member of the Latonia Lodge #746 F.&A.M., a member of the Syrian Temple of Cincinnati, OH and a 45 year member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Loveland, OH. John was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard & Lillian Scalf; sister: Vola Scalf and brother: Paul Scalf. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years: Jean Lamb Scalf; daughter: Julie (Jim) Ziruolo; son: Jeff Scalf; brothers: Gene (Beverly) Scalf and Joe (Shirley) Scalf; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 3227 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018 from 10:30 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Entombment: Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati-Blue Ash, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
