Minerva B. Silver devoted wife of the late John A. Silver; she was the loving mother to Jay B. (Karen deceased) Silver , Dorothy "Dash" Cotter, the late Barbara M. Martin and her husband Bob Martin, and Martha S. (Bruce) Torrance; cherished grandmother to Kelly L.(Jason) Hoover, Jennifer N. Silver, Matthew (Courtney) Cotter, Brendan Cotter, Elizabeth (Jason) Renneker, Amy Martin, Katherine M. Torrance, Emily B. Torrance, and Molly B. Torrance; great-grandchildren Emma L. Hoover, Jack Hoover, Carson Cotter, Claire Renneker, Luke Renneker, and Paige Renneker. Minerva is preceded in death by all her siblings Winton Barrowcliff, Betty Goetz, and Russell Barrowcliff. Minerva passed away on July 7, 2016 at the age of 90. Visitation will be July 25, 2016 at 10am until the time of the memorial service at 11, at Gwen Mooney Funeral Home (4389 Spring Grove Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45223). Inurnment will take place in Spring Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Semper Fi Fund (https://semperfifund.org/donate/) or Doctors Without Borders (https://donate.doctorswithoutborders.org) . Online condolences can be expressed at:

Dear Jay, Dorothy, Martha and families,
Deb (Fullerton)Kingsboro here. It popped in my head today that tomorrow, April 6, would be Barb's (Barby!) birthday; one of many dates that I always remember. It prompted me to seek an update on your mom.
I am so sorry to learn of your mother's passing last July. She was a wonderful woman included in many fond memories of my childhood in Cincinnati.
Just a few years ago I was in Cincinnati for Mrs. Norris's service and I stopped in to see your mom on Larch Ave. and we had a very nice visit.
Just know, even far beyond the date of your loss, I am thinking of you all and send my deepest sympathy.

To Min's family - could not be there today to wish her a happy journey. Have many dear memories shared between our families - UC basketball/football, St Stephens, Bowling Green, Cincinnati Zoo - know that my mom is excited to be able to chat like they used to. Know that her loss is a blow to your family. Please be comforted that she lived a great life and raised a great family and now is on to her next adventure. I am sorry for your loss and will think of her fondly. Bless you all.
