MASSA
Robert R., born July 24, 1924. Beloved husband of the late Helen H. (nee Heskamp) for 59 years. Devoted father of Laurie, Mark (Lisa), Gary (Mary) and Barbara/Pep (Pete) Hammer. Dear brother of Rita, Patty, Roger, Gordon and the late Don, Art, Jerry and Jim. Survived by 6 grandchildren Jess, Luke, Katie, Kristen, Maria and Lauren. Died peacefully Monday, January 19, 2015, at age 90. A proud graduate of Elder High School and Holy Cross College, he served his country honorably as a Marine in WW II. He had a successful career at Connecticut/Mass Mutual for 53 years. A devoted family man who was an example of his Catholic faith. He was charitable and served multiple organizations including the Serra Club, Men of Milford and the Athenaeum. Visitation at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral, (where he served Mass for more than 40 years) 325 W. 8th St., Cincinnati, OH 45202, Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Margaret Hall or the Athenaeum of Ohio (St. Mary's Seminary) in Cincinnati. Bob Massa was a good man. He was a family man, serviced our Country with dignity, and was a great Life Insurance salesman, and most of all his strong devotion to God. Uncle Bob you will be missed. God Bless you.

Deepest sympathy to all the family. I remember Bob and Helens 50th wedding anniversary, Chuck & I were so delighted to share in such warm and loving family celebration. Most of my Massa memories were shared with Helen but I want to send at this time, my heart felt condolences to the entire family. Pam Venable

Gary and the entire Massa family, our prayers and condolences are with you and your family. Sue and I were married at St. Peter in Chains and we love the church. Our 19 year old son attends there when he is in town. Mr. Massa was a faithful servant and a holy man. Paul & Sue Verst
