Joy Runne Obituary
Maltry Runne
Leicester - Joy Susan Maltry Runné, 45, and her husband, André Graydon Runné, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at their residence.
A native of Buncombe County, Joy was the daughter of Claudia Bassett Maltry of Asheville and of the late Ralph Paul Maltry, Sr. She was a manager with the Waffle House with 25 years service.
Joy is survived by two sons, Jimmy Jenson and Vincent Franklin; a step-son, Joshua Matthew Burns; a granddaughter, Alazae Franklin; five sisters, Revonda Shelton, Brenda Davis, Carolyn Bassett, Deborah Buchanan and husband, Brent, and Barbara Fowler; four brothers, Huey Maltry, and wife, Kim, Ralph Maltry, Jr. and wife, Zabrina, Randy Maltry and David Maltry. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Valerie Thomas.
The funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, November 29, 2013, in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Reverend Steve Rhinehart officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 4:00 to 5:00 and then following the service until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

I miss her even now I keep thinking I'll go to waffle House and she will be there . She was my boss for 3 years. I loved joy. She was with me at a hard time in my life I had cancer and she was right there helping me.

Andy, You and Andre installed our furnace in Kenilworth about 18 years ago.I remember what a fine young man Andre seemed to be and how proud you obviously were of him. I also remember your strong witness for the Lord. I am praying that somehow the Lord will use this tragedy for good. I am also praying for you and Mrs.Runne and your family. I know you will take comfort in knowing where and with Whom he will spend eternity.
