Kenneth Ledford Obituary
Asheville - Kenneth Rodgers Ledford, Sr, went home to be with Lord, March 28, 2017.
He was born in Greenville, SC November 12, 1922 to the late Aud M. and Alma Rodgers Ledford, and was also predeceased by his wife Margaret Rackley Ledford, brother John and 18 year old grandson, Derek Samuel Ledford.
Ken was a member of Emma United Methodist Church and retired from Biltmore Forest after many years as Chief of Police. He was an army veteran of WWII and he was an avid gardener, fisherman and golfer, having 7 hole-in-ones.
Left to cherish his memory are sons Ken (Becky) and Lee (Marilynn); grandchildren Amanda Fehr (Carl), Kenneth (Ashleigh) and Phillip Plaster; great-grandchildren, Carl and Will Fehr and Samuel Ledford.
A memorial service will be at 11 AM on April 22nd at Emma United Methodist, 59 Adams Hill Road, Asheville NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Christian School Baseball Program, 2211 Woodruff Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
