Norman Frank Jackson

Fairview - Norman Frank Jackson, 94, of Fairview went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Asheville Health Care Center.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County he was the son of the late Romer Harrison Jackson and Estelle Presley Hall Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Jackson; a sister, Kate Frady; and brothers: Junior, Charles and Leo Jackson.

Mr. Jackson was a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served during WWII in New Guinea. He was a member of the French Broad United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine Sales Jackson; step-daughter, Carole Ann Turner and her husband Thomas of Virginia Beach, VA; step-son, Herbert Russell Miller and his wife Sharon of Fairview; step-grandchildren: Lisa Riviera, Rebecca Levi, Russell Turner, and Joshua Miller; step-great grandchildren: Colton, Rylie, and Wyatt; and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Monday, March 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Pharm and Pastor Joshua Miller officiating. Burial will follow a Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flower memorial can be made to Laurel Pines Baptist Church, PO Box 1553, Fairview, NC 28730.

Well us SC "girl's" of Dootsie's is missing him so dearly. I thank God for his long life here on earth with us. So soft spoken he was; this I will always remember. We love you Norman; my next visit to NC will be with you and Margie. Rest in peace my cousin.
