Christine Walton Obituary
She was born Sept. 24, 1939, in Glen Lyon, to the late Charles and Stella Beleski, Glen Lyon.
She was a graduate of Newport Twp. High School, Wanamie, Newport Twp. She also graduated from Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke. She worked as a switchboard operator for Nanticoke Mercy Hospital and the American Red Cross, Wilkes-Barre.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Luzerne County.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, who worked relentlessly to raise her children.
She was preceded in death by husband, Austin Carl Walton, Alden.
Surviving are children, Melissa with her daughter, Meeghan Christine, both of Alden; Melinda Walton Fischer, Glen Lyon; Terence, Alden; brother, Edward Beleski and wife, Marlene, Shickshinny.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 8 at Stegura Funeral Home, 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Lou Kaminski.

There is a now a void in the life of so many people, just walking into your home and seeing that big smile on your happy face was enough to melt anyone's bad mood away,...I myself will certainly miss it, along with the way you would roll your eyes at certain things,and open them wide with delight at others , like looking at the face the baby, or holding him on your lap,...a true sweetheart in every sense of the word ,...may God's light continue to shine on your beautiful face.
