James Cobley Obituary

James Donald Cobley Jr. of Bradford Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at his home.

Born Dec. 28, 1981, in Lehighton, he was a son of Mary Carey Nafus of Wilkes-Barre and the late James Donald Cobley Sr.

James attended Wyoming Valley West schools and was employed by Innova Services Co., Wilkes-Barre.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his stepfather, Edward Nafus; daughter, Jaylynn Cobley; companion, Laura Bigga, Wilkes-Barre; brothers, Edward S. Nafus III, Harveys Lake; Andrew Dinenger, Wilkes-Barre; Tyler Cobley, Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Tammy Lynn Turner, Nanticoke; June Nafus, Wilkes-Barre; Elaine Cuningham, Nanticoke; Carla Prado, Plains Township; Ann Marie Nafus, Edwardsville; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Dominick's Church, Austin Avenue, Parsons. The Rev. Joseph Kearney, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family at the funeral home.

I am sorry for your loss. I'm sure there is no relation, however I'm wondering if James father, the late James Cobley Sr was originally from Seattle? Any information would be helpful.
