Jeanette Dombroski Obituary
Born in Pittsburgh on July 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Janina Klimchok Radecki Bladowski, Peter Radecki and Alexander Bladowski. Mrs. Dombroski graduated from Hanover High School and Drake Business College.
Mrs. Dombroski was married to the late Dr. Stanley W. Dombroski until his death in 1975.
Mrs. Dombroski was very active in the community. She was a founding member of the Hanover Township Civic Improvement Council, a life member of the Auxiliary to the Luzerne County Dental Society, a member of the Hospital Authority board and the first woman school director in Hanover Township. Mrs. Dombroski was a member of the Women's Association at Wyoming Valley Country Club, where she had three holes-in-one and was club champ.
In 1978 she founded "It's a Small World" Day Care School, which she operated until 2003. "Mrs. D" was a positive influence on the lives of countless children in the area.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Julie, Pauline, Joan and Teresa; and brothers, Bernard and Peter.
Surviving are her daughter, Dr. Sandra Dombroski Fritsch and her husband, Dr. Kilian Fritsch, Philadelphia; son, Dr. S. Wayne Dombroski and his wife, Bonnie, Dallas; granddaughters, Sasha Kone and her husband, Martin, Wyalusing; Courtney Dombroski, Richardson, Texas; and Triona Dombroski Fritsch, Saugerties, N.Y.; great-grandsons, Garrett and Morgan Kone, Wyalusing; brother, Dr. John Bladowski, Toccoa, Ga.; sister, Charlotte Hanhart, Jupiter, Fla.; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Radecki, El Paso, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
At Mrs. Dombroski's request, private services were held Wednesday for the immediate family.
Arrangements were entrusted to Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., 679 Carey Ave., Hanover Township.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Aloysius Church and interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorial donations in her name may be made to Mercy Center, Box 370, Lake Street, Dallas, PA 18612.

Mrs. Dombroski was a great person. I worked for her for a few years during college and she was like a grandmother to me. She certainly changed the lives of many children who attend the daycare.

She has left a lasting impression on both of my children. My son is now in the USMC.I have so many fond memories and photos from when my daughter was at daycare with Mrs. Dombroski..She made a difference in my children's lives..forever grateful..forever in our hearts.

Dear Dombroski Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Jeanette through my Grandmother, Margaret Bednarek. Jeanette was always so kind and thoughtful and one of my Grandmother's closest friends.
One of my favorite memories of her was the Summer we all went to Skytop Lodge for a weekend-so much fun! She lived life with style and Grace. She will be missed...

One of my blessings in life was to develop a friendship with your Mom and Grandmother. She had a generous, trusting and kind heart and treasured the time spent with her family,friends and all who had the awesome fortune to cross her path. I will never forget her.
