Katherine Drury Obituary
She was born in Werzburg, Germany, on Jan. 11, 1967, where her father served in the military. She came to the United States shortly after birth.
She was the daughter of Warren Drury of Ashley and the late Mary T. Penman Beggs.
Kathy attended John S. Fine High School, Nanticoke, where she graduated from in 1985.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Hunlock Creek.
Kathy was employed as a residential program worker by Keystone Human Services. Earlier she was employed as a certified nursing assistant by Bayada Nurses. Kathy's love was taking care of the sick and those who could not care for themselves.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary T. Beggs; stepfather, James I. Beggs; and infant brother, Warren Drury Jr.
Surviving are her spouse of more than 20 years, Domenick Turse, at home; daughters, Erika Yedinak and husband, Stephen; and granddaughter, Keaton, Plymouth; and Staci Vanderhoff, Nanticoke; brother, Daniel Drury Sr., Florida; sisters, Margaret Vanderhoff, Ashley; and Carolyn Barker and husband, Rick, Hunlock Creek; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, with the Rev. Richard Fox officiating. Visiation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
