Margaret Knapp

Margaret Knapp of Moosic entered into eternal rest Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, at Guardian Health Care, Taylor.

Born in Old Forge, she was the only daughter born to the late Joseph Sr. and Sarah Mrioczkowski Knapp and was a graduate of Old Forge High School, Class of 1957. Throughout Margaret's life, she worked at Sathers Candy, Brooks Manufacturing and retired from Hyde Grade Pants, Taylor. A devout Catholic, Margaret was a lifelong parishioner of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, Old Forge, and was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Marian Knapp, Pittston; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Jr. and Eugene Knapp; and a sister-in-law, Dolores Knapp.

Family and friends are invited to attend Margaret's funeral, which will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday from Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by the Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, 140 Church St. Old Forge, by the Rev. Eduard Shestak, pastor. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
