Roberta Kirshner Obituary
Roberta Kirshner of Shavertown passed away peacefully, with family by her side Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Esther Kaufman Gerstein and was a graduate of Meyers High School. She was a member of Congregation Ohav Zedek; the Jewish Community Center; and other civic and religious organizations.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Kirshner; and brother, Allan Gerstein.
Roberta is survived by her loving children, Dr. Bruce Kirshner; Dr. Ronald (Trudie) Kirshner; Carla (Frank) Breitman; Dr. Todd (Liz) Kirshner; Dr. Drew (Nikki) Kirshner; Dr. Corey Kirshner; Dr. Rand "Randy" (Andrea) Kirshner; Dr. Merrick "Ricky (Tammy) Kirshner; 20 grandchildren; and sister, Marcia (Bob) Fleischman; and nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, a private family graveside funeral service was held in Ohav Zedek Cemetery, with Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating.
