My personal memories of Dr. Welch are precious and varied...from having him as the family physician and friend to many of the L.D. Furtick family of Rienzi, to the privilege of seeing his professionalism and excellence in the hospital setting during my days as a young nurse's aide and nursing student at MRHC. Like many others, I will cherish the indelible mark he made on countless lives and the profession.

One of a kind! My prayers with Dr. Welch's family. I came to know Dr. Welch working at Region IV ccsu and realized he had been most of my family's doctor. He was an amazing person to know and work with.

Carl was our beloved Chapman Family patriarch. "Sonny Boy" in youth, "Carl" to his family, and "Dr. Welch" for most of his well lived life Is very much missed by his immediate and extended family.
