Be still and know that I am God.
I drew him safely from the sea.
I walked him through a Pilgrim's land,
and brought him home to Me.

I submit Mama's poem in honor of Daddy's birthday on February 7. On the earth, Clyde would be 83 years old this year. Now, we celebrate Daddy's first heavenly birthday! I miss him and look forward to celebrations together in Paradise. I am so thankful for the stable, loving earthly home he and Mama provided for me.
Love your daughter,

Dear Mother,
I can hardly believe how gracious God was to take daddy home ten days after your 55th wedding anniversary. Soon and very soon, we will all be together, but what a wonderful mother and role model you have been for your children even in death. As you would say, "It is the circle of Life". We know you will be lonesome for daddy for some time to come, but we are going to spread ourslelves out among the months ahead and hold up your arms like Arron and Hurr did for Moses. Daddy was a great man and you are the great woman God designed for him all these years. That gives us all comfort, peace and faith. Love,
Becky

As stated in the article, we lost a true Southern Gentelman and a good Christian. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Clyde for many years. He will be missed by family and friends alike.
