Florence -
Linda Estelle Short, 67, passed away Saturday April 7,2018 at her residence in Florence. Visitation is Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 10am-11am Monday April 9, 2018 at Union Church Baptist Church in Union Church, MS. Services will be 11 am at Union Church Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Linda was born September 13, 1950 in Hazelhurst, MS to Frank and Patricia McKinney Kimble. She was a member Of Briar Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Kimble, and son in law, Jevin Davis. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, William H. Short, Sr. of Florence; mother, Patricia Kimble of Pleasant Hill, MS; daughters, Heather (Daryll) Sturrock of Spring, TX, Amy Davis and Jessica (Adam) Sumrall of Florence; son, William H. (Brenda) Short, Jr., Caddo Mills, TX, sisters, Ann (Frank)Stuart of Brookhaven, MS, Nannette (Mike) Lusk of Wesson; sister in law, Ann Adams of Union Church, MS; 6 grandchildren, Joshua Short, Nathan Nusbaum, Sydney Short, Sarah Short, Maisie Sturrock and Matthew Sturrock
