Nelvyn Gregory Obituary
Jackson - Nelvyn Wayne "Gabby" Gregory died peacefully at his home January 23, 2018. He was born January 4, 1952, in Florence, Alabama, and grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, and was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Worley Gregory and Mary Orene Balentine Gregory. He is survived by his wife, Freddie Price Gregory, his son, Gabriel Clinton Wesley Gregory, and his beloved dog, Bella, who he lovingly called Spot. He is also survived his brothers, Tommy Gregory, Pete Gregory (Wendy), Larry Gregory (Mollie), and his sisters, Judy Graham, and Genny Martin, and is survived also by a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his in-laws, Dr. Bob and Judy Ford and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny and Sandra Price.Gabby had a lifetime career in law enforcement, first as a police officer in Roanoke, Virginia, and later as chief investigator of the Mississippi Department of Transportation.Visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2018, at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland, from 11:00-1:00 p.m., with the funeral at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery, Vicksburg, Ms.
