NANCY MACK
CLINTON - Nancy J. (Wortman) Mack, 75, passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. She is survived by her soulmate, best friend, and beloved husband of 29 years, Edmund J. Mack; their children and spouses, Richard Goyne II & Leanna; Heather Russ & Michael; David Mack & Veronica; adoring grandchildren, Richard Goyne III, Nathaniel Goyne, Lindsey Russ & husband Felipe, Emma Russ, and Arthur Mack. She leaves her brother Michael Wortman & wife Penny; her mother-in-law Stella Mack; brothers & sisters-in-law, Timothy Mack, Kevin Mack & Wilda, Michelle Frick & Robert; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends. She is pre-deceased by four siblings, Carol Pizzano, Barbara St. George, Marie Wortman, and William Wortman, her father-in-law Edmund J. Mack, Sr., and brother-in-law Paul Mack.
Nancy was born in Melrose, daughter of the late Gordon & Mary Ann (MacNeil) Wortman. She graduated from the Blue Mountain Academy and Atlantic Union College School of Nursing. Nancy embarked on her professional career as a Registered Nurse, caring for countless patients at the Clinton Hospital, St. Francis Nursing Center, and Shrewsbury Nursing Home, from where she ultimately retired. Nancy and Ed then enjoyed retirement years in Savannah, Georgia, surrounded by wonderful friendships, abundant golfing, extensive travel and cruises. Nancy was a former member of Sterling Country Club and held membership with the Landings Club in Savannah. Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 9:30-11AM with a Funeral Service to be celebrated at 11AM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
