Jerry Faircloth Obituary

SALEMBURG — Mr. Jerry Campbell Faircloth, 75, went to be the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21, at Salemburg Cemetery with the Reverend Tommy Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Faircloth was a native of Harnett County, the son Jack and Essie Campbell Cooper Faircloth. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill Faircloth and Don Faircloth; and his sister, Rebecca Rivers.

Mr. Faircloth was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid golfer and friend to all. He was also a retired teacher with the Sampson County Schools.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Lynn Malpass Faircloth of the home; two daughters, Leigh Ann Faircloth Averett and husband, Jimmy of Salemburg; and Amy Faircloth Gainey and husband, Brian of Clayton; five grandchildren, AnnaBeth Averett, Cooper Davis Averett; Blair Campbell Gainey; Brookes Ivy Gainey; and Baylor James Gainey; two sisters, Barbara Holland (Anglo); and Mary Sue Fallin; and his brother, Jimmy Faircloth (Annis).
