Christine Baker Obituary
She was born in Liberty County to Lewis Morrison and Florence Blue Morrison. Mrs. Baker graduated from the historic Dorchester Academy and matriculated to the former Harris Area Trade School in Savannah.
She became a licensed beautician under the instruction of Madame Myers. She was a member of Midway Congregational Church, UCC, where she served as a deacon and church clerk for many years.
Survivors include a brother, Lewis Morrison Jr. of Hinesville; a sister, Lillie Bell Beckett of Midway; two special caregivers, Jeraldine Maxwell and Joyce Hood, both of Midway; and a sister-in-law, Lula Pearl Baker of Coatesville, PA
Viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. on Monday at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Midway Congregational Church, UCC, 8815 E. Oglethorpe Hwy, Midway. The Rev. J. Richard Woodward will officiate. Her body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Dorchester Funeral Home of Midway has charge of arrangements.
