GEORGE AND BARBARA BIRNBAUMER
March 12, 1936 ˜ May 19, 2023
On May 19, 2023, Barbara Jean McCarrell Birnbaumer followed her husband, George Anthony Birnbaumer Jr. in death. Barbara and George met while in High School in Redondo Beach, CA. They were married on Sept. 2, 1960. George joined Del Monte Foods in 1962 as an accountant in San Francisco, retiring in 1991. Barbara kept house for her family and embraced the opportunities to support local artists, attend cooking classes and travel. After retirement, George and Barbara moved to Battle Ground, WA, where George joined the local Beekeeping Club and Barbara joined the local General Federation of Women’s Club. George died on Sept. 20, 2020. A Celebration of George and Barbara’s lives will take place at 11:00 on Sunday, June 4 in Los Gatos, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
