MARIE LOUISE (ANDRESEN) CLAY
July 21, 1925 ~ June 23, 2018

Marie Louise Clay, 92, of Vancouver WA, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. She was born on July 21, 1925 in Vancouver, WA to James and Louise (Wenzel) Andresen. She graduated from Fort Vancouver High School and received her Bachelor degree from UCLA. While in Los Angeles, she worked for two years as a bacteriologist for the county.
Marie operated RV Tours for over 20 years where she was a wagon master from Central America to Alaska. She was a den mother during her earlier years and most recently served with PEO Chapter GF. Marie was an avid traveler and known for being helpful to all.
Marie is survived by her sons, Gregory D. Clay of Forest Grove, OR, James E. Clay (Debra) of San Diego, CA and David D. Clay of Forest Grove, OR; brother, James W. Andresen of Bainbridge Island, WA; niece, Suzanne Kirkpatrick-Andresen of Bainbridge Island, WA; granddaughter, Shannon Marie Clay and grandson, Nathan David Clay, both of Rome, Italy.
A viewing for Marie will be from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, 110 E. 12th Street with a graveside service to follow at 2:00p.m. at Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver, WA.
Contributions may be made as donations to the American Cancer Society.
