Steven Adrian Bodak, age 44 of Willis, Texas, passed away Saturday August 6, 2016. He was born January 24, 1972 to Steve D. Bodak, Jr. and Marcia Carole Sale in Painesville, Ohio. Steven moved from Ohio with his family as a youngster and graduated from Willis High School.
Steven lived his life full throttle, from his hard work as a Co-Owner and laborer in Bodak Construction Company, taking pride in the drywall work with his dad and brother-in-law, Charlie Scott, to his passion at Colin Edwards Texas Tornado Boot camp as a Cycle Instructor, and EVERYTHING in between.
The enormity of his heart opened up this amazing vision of who Steven was and how he has given everyone he loved a piece of it. We all knew he was just a phone call away and he filled many, many gaps.
He will be remembered mostly as the one and only son, the baby brother, the coolest uncle, the most caring father, Season's supportive husband, and the truest friend in the entire State of Texas, whom we treasure more than all the sunsets on Snoe Rd. He was the most patient and gentle bike instructor that started with lots of nieces and nephews and his old Mongoose and didn't end with Thane, but measured across the whole world. He shared many passions with his family and friends, including things like building projects, taking pride in everything he touched, biking, dog loving aka.. the dog whisperer (or bird whisperer), fishing with the boys, and spending days with his family.
Missing him: wife Season, son Thane, father and mother Steve and Marcia Bodak, sisters and husbands Stephanie and Bobby Nicholson, Stacey and Charlie Scott and those nieces and nephews, Shay, Skylar, Gabor, Caleb, Emma and Maggie Nicholson; grandmother, Gram Margie Sale, age 94, who he had the privilege of spending sweet time with on their trip to Ohio this past May, numerous aunts and uncles, mother-in-law Mary Bubier, brother-in-law Thomas and nieces Zoe, Guin and Ashley. Along with MANY, MANY friends that were like family to him.
Steven, we are thankful for your life and what it means to us. You will always be loved, missed, and celebrated. K...Love ya, bye......
Visitation will be held 4:00 to 8:00PM Wednesday at Metcalf Funeral Directors.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00PM Thursday August 11, 2016 at the Lone Star Convention Center in the Bluebonnet Room.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Race For The Wounded 5411 Crest Hwy Thomaston, GA 30286, or www.raceforthewounded.com

Denny and Marcia. I've never seen a Legacy as beautiful as Steven's. What a tribute to you both. Know you are loved by so many who never knew him but knew you.
I need you to know my sorrow is overwhelming.

First, my sincere heartfelt sorrow for this family. They're all so very close and I can't even begin to think how devastating this has been for them. The Bodaks have been customers of mine for over 20 years and Steven was someone I always loved to see coming in my store. I don't think he had a mean bone in his body and can't think of any occasion he ever had anything bad to say about anyone. He had a gentle spirit that came across the minute you met him. An incredibly positive person.
The last time I saw him was late June or early July this year. He came in the shop for a little repair on a necklace he wore and I did it for him while he waited. We talked as usual and I asked him what he'd been up to lately.
He said to me and I quote:
"Man... I'm live'n the dream".
He went on to tell me that he was now an instructor at Texas Tornado in Montgomery and how he loved it so; helping people, teaching them his favorite sport. I will certainly miss Steven.
With sympathy and regards for the Bodak family.

Steven was a very kind and super nice man that I had the pleasure of knowing through my job at Home Depot. He will be missed by all of us that knew him. Every time he came in to shop, he made a point to speak to us and always brightened our day with his wonderful smile and personality. Always polite and fun to talk to. My prayers and thoughts are with his family, as I know you are hurting from your loss of him so early in his life. Rest assured that he is in the loving arms of God watching over all of you. May you continue to ride in heaven Steven.

I have nothing but great memories of Steven. He always had a beautiful smile, was kind, friendly and funny!!! Everyone liked him because he was an all around great guy and you just enjoyed being in his presence. Its heartbreaking that he was taken so early in life! But we can rejoice knowing he is Heaven and that others get to live because he gave back the gift of life through donating his organs. May God continue to surround you with love, and give you comfort & strength.

Oh my what memories I have especially from your teen years with Justin Boyd. I cannot walk into my pantry without thinking of you these days, when you would leave, the awesome hug and the "special" smile I got when I knew you had turned the labels on the can goods in my OCD totally organized pantry, I would shake my head and totally 100% love it every time. What a vision, what a memory. To your awesome family, wife and especially son, Steven has truly left a legacy like no other...the journey of grief is personal, love and support each other one day at a time but celebrate his life, he would want that.
