Dr. Arnold Webster

A former Mayor of the City of Camden died peacefully on August 4 2004.
Dr. Webster a native of Washington D.C. was a long-time resident of Camden NJ where he served as Superintendent of Camden City Schools from July 1986 to January 1994 and as Mayor of the City from January 1994 to June 1998. He will always be remembered for his commitment to hope change and responsibility for the citizens of Camden.
Dr. Webster was predeceased by his beloved wife Geraldine Thompson Webster of Camden and his parents Joseph and Ruth Webster of Washington D.C. He is survived by two daughters Karen Bayyan and Terri Webster. He was a devoted grandfather to Racheal Petty Angela Petty and Ramadan Bayyan Jr. He is also survived by ten brothers and sisters and a host of nieces nephews family and friends.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the viewing Wednesday August 11 2004 6-8pm at MAY FUNERAL HOME 4th and Walnut Sts. Camden. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 12 2004 12 noon at Nazarene Baptist Church 8th and Fair-mount Sts. Camden. Viewing will be 10-12 noon at the Church.
