Bart, you and I spent many years within the walls and on the fields of Haddon Township High School. I taught your children and shared your love of HTHS. We will always be there in spirit, no matter where life may take us. R.I.P.

Dear Brit and Clay,
Your father was a wonderful person. I still remember playing lava at your house when we were in elementary school. Your dad was so kind, supportive and eager to encourage creativity. Yours was always the best house for trick-or-treating as your dad gave entire goodie bags and did not mind repeat customers. As a grownup, I enjoyed his prom commentary as well as his coverage of town events. Such a kind, gracious soul will be greatly missed.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.

I knew Bart from his days at Haddon Glen Swim Club. Both of our children were members of the swim team. After we left Haddon Glen, Bart and I would often see one another at the high school athletic events when ever Haddon Hieghts H.S played Haddon Township in Football and in Wrestling. He was always upbeat and had a smile on his face. I wold like to extend my deepest sympathy to all of his family for their loss. R.I.P. Bart!

Always in the lap lane early, Bart was a dedicated swimmer and will be much missed at the Haddon Glen Swim Club. I'm sure in Heaven there's a dedicated lane just for him no matter what time of day!

I had the honor of posting the videos that Bart so enthusiastically filmed for Haddon Township and HTHS sports. He was such a caring, selfless gentleman who encouraged students throughout their athletic careers. His passing is a real loss to the township and the student athletes of our town.

I had been missing seeing Mr. Payne walking around lately. I thought it might be the heat, not knowing he was ill. I first met him when my daughter Michele was friends with the boys. Then I ran into him so many times at Township activities-when my son wrestled-he was there. For the Prom Promenade-he was there. For Tony's Run-he was there. He passed my house so many times, always stopping to say hello and ask about us. A great neighbor who will be missed-as he was at Tony's Run this year.

Mr. Payne will always be remembered as a benefactor, friend and volunteer to the Haddon Township Schools and community. My sincere condolences to the Payne family.

Words can not convey the void that is left in our hearts with Bart's passing. A finer, more caring role model this township has never known. His true concern and unending generosity will be his legacy. And as a tribute to Bart, we as dear friends need to continue to carry on his good will by showing that we too care and support each other in making Haddon Township the best possible community it can be. With love and deepest sympathy, The Tharp family
