The first time Zach and I sat down I asked him if he could choose a song for us to listen to that inspired him to want to live a better life. He played "Look at Where We Are" by Hotchip. Please listen to that song and think of all the hope he had within. We all know that he suffered but I witnessed him cry many tears of joy as well. He was one of the most sensitive, gentle and kind souls Ive ever encountered. When I think of Zach I always think of his smile, and his lion heart. When I think of Zach one word comes to my mind: JOY. Know that Zach warmed many cold hearts during some of their darkest moments. I witnessed what an inspiration and source of nurturance he was to his friends. I am honored to have known him and will never forget our time together....

I will never forget watching the cartoon portion of Roger Rabbit every time he came to my house and his infectious laugh and his big smile. I miss him.

My heartfelt condolences on the untimely passing of your loved one. I am devastated when I see another victim of the social cancer we have in our nation. I pray wholeheartedly for your family. Our family is well aware of the insidious nature of this disease. We count several friends who have lost sons and daughters to the scourge of our time. Our battle in our family continues. We ask for your prayers for all of us still fighting the good fight. Your family is very brave to be open and honest. It gives us still fighting for our loved ones hope. God bless you.

I remember Zachary as a feisty little boy, full of energy. Always wanting to help. He was full of light and laughter. His mother never questioned his abilities. If he thought he could do something, she let him try. If he failed, she comforted him, and let him try again. He was persistent, most times mastering a skill on the first try. I'm sad that addiction took his life. I'm mad that he is gone way before his time. He still had work to do and wounds to heal. Now his family has to heal without his input and help....but they are strong and they will overcome. Sending all the love and light I can muster...Love you guys.
