Charles Allen "Charlie" Wade, 72, of Yellowbanks, Indiana a member of The Church The Body of Christ, ushered into the Lords presence on Thursday, February 16, 2017.
Charlie was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 21, 1945 to the late Carl Lewis and Madlene C. (Jennings) Wade.
Charlie had served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. He was a member of the Boonville VFW #3418 and the Boonville American Legion # 200. He retired from UPS after 25 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Sue Wade; Son, Gene Wade; Siblings, Steven Wade and Bryan Wade.
Charlie is survived by his children, Charles Wade II of Yellowbanks, IN; Tyra Thomas and her husband, Larry of Tennyson, IN; Donald Wright and his wife, Mindy of Terre Haute, IN; Michael Wright and his wife, Kelly; 12 Grandchildren; Siblings, Frances Austill, Ernie Wade, Barbara Massey, Fred Wade, Donnie Wade.
Services are 3 P.M. Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Koehler Funeral Home, Perigo Chapel at 7022 Heim Rd. Chandler, IN 47610. Burial is in Selvin Cemetery in Selvin, Indiana. The Warrick County Veterans Memorial Services will conduct military honors.
Visitation is from 11 A.M. until 3 P.M. Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the funeral home in Chandler.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.

To all the Wade Family, I am sad to learn of Charlie's passing. As has been said he was one of the good guys. He was always a friend to those of us younger Chandler and Millersburg kids who hung around his house. As Cindy Lehr stated "dont know how he and Janice put up with us". I am glad that they did. Some of my youngest childhood memories are on Friday nights at Charlie's house behind the Chandler school! Donnie, Bruce, Mike, Robin and myself would go there to hang out and wait around for Charlie and Al to come home, so we could "TRY" and kick there butts, but somehow the odds were stacked against us, 2 to 5 odds were not very good odds, against those two. We seen some butts kicked alright, OURS!! Charlie, thanks for the good time's way back when... RIP my friend!
