Amelia Kirejczyk, age 86, of Shelton entered into rest on Friday January 12, 2017 in the Griffin Hospital Derby. She was the devoted wife of the late Czeslaw (Chester) Kirejczyk. She was born in Harasimowicze, Poland on December 15, 1931 daughter of the late Serafin and Antonia (Jermak) Staworko, and has been a Shelton resident since 1995. Amelia loved her family very much especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and taking care of her home and family. She is the beloved mother of Henryk Kirejczyk,, and the late Bozena Abissi. She is the loving mother-in-law of Helena Kirejczyk, and Charles Abissi. She is the cherished grandmother of Luke Kirejczyk, Anna Kirejczyk Cantin, and her husband Matthew, Kristina Abissi, Isabella Abissi, and Katerina Abissi, and the adoring great grandmother of Emma Cantin, and also leaves several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Stanislawa Gajlewicz. Friends may greet her family on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. On Monday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael's Church Derby. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery Monroe. At the request of her family memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Church 75 Derby Ave. Derby. CT 06418.
