Barbara Larocca Obituary

Barbara Faye Larocca
Barbara Faye Larocca, age 71, completed her journey through this life after living a life of love, compassion, generosity and inspiration. Barbara passed on Monday, September 25th, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born and lived in Milford, although a part of her life was in Bridgeport. She was a 1969 graduate of Warren Harding High School and thereafter received her paralegal studies degree from the University of New Haven.
Barbara nurtured those who were less fortunate, and she loved to host dinner parties with her friends and family, providing a place for everyone to laugh and have fun. She put everyone before herself. Her mission was that it's just not enough to simply live. We all must have strong roots, sunshine, and a lot of love to bloom and spread to others. Since 1976, she was a loyal and happy employee of the law firm of Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder. Barbara's second home in Cape Cod was her solitude where she enjoyed many weekends with her loving husband, Philip. Her smile lit up every room because she had such a positive outlook. Last but not least, the sky was the limit when it came to her daughter, Christine, her grandson, Trevor and her grand pups, Minnie and Winston.
Barb was a strong and independent woman. The eldest sibling of four younger brothers, she was the family matriarch and was their rock and glue. Her heart was her strength. She was an eternal optimist and was generous to all (almost to a fault).
Her memory will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Philip Larocca, her daughter, Christine Barbiero and grandson, Trevor Dean Silvestro, Trevor's father, Salvatore Silvestro, her brothers, Kenneth Warner and Thomas Faye, many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and many dear friends and family who cooked for her, drove her to appointments, and who loved and cared for her in the last several years. She is predeceased by her father, Donald Faye, her mother, Jane Warner, and her dear brothers, David Warner and Robert Warner.
Funeral Services will be held at THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford on Sunday, October 15th from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 4:30 p.m. and Interment will be private. A Celebration of Life for Barb will be announced by the family.
