David Lawrence Pawlyk, Sr.
David Lawrence Pawlyk, Sr. age 67, a lifelong Shelton resident entered into rest in his home surrounded by his loving family on November 1, 2018. He was the beloved husband of 44 years to RuthAnn (Kuskowski) Pawlyk. He was born in Derby on January 22, 1951, the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Filek) Pawlyk. Dave worked for Sikorsky in their IT department for 30 years before his retirement. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and CT Army National Guard where he retired as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was the loving father of Natasha Georgette, David Pawlyk, Jr. and his wife Kerry, and Ryan Pawlyk and his wife Kate, grandfather to Amber Sciongay, Brandon Pawlyk, Autumn and Maria Pawlyk and great grandfather to Logan and Jameson Walter. He is also survived by his brother John and twin brother Donald Pawlyk. Friends are invited to greet Dave's family on Sunday November 4 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road Shelton. On Monday everyone is invited to go directly to St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave. Shelton, at 11 a.m. for his Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate. Online condolences can be left for his family at www.riverviewfh.com.
