My sincere sympathies to Dr Luchansky's family. Dr Luchansky delivered our daughter 34 years ago. Yet, my most enduring memories of Dr Luchansky are from the years I worked with him at St Vincent's . He was an intern and resident when I was in high school and college- I worked as a nurses aide part time. He was ALWAYS pleasant, courteous, and friendly - one of the very few residents who would take the time to talk to a young person . He was the same to all employees and all patients -
A true gentleman who cared for all his patients.
Rest In Peace, Dr Luchansky.

I met Ed Luchansky shortly after I started practice and he was a resident in Ob-Gyn at St Vincents Hospital.
When he finished, we managed together to run 4 Planned Parenthood clinics a week, in addition to our individual practices.
Ed became ambulatory clinic chief at Bridgeport Hospital at the same time I was there, and did a wonderful job with the clinic and the residents until he retired from the hospital.
It is so sad to see someone you knew well and worked with for years pass on.
My deepest and sincere sympathies go out to Donna and the children for their loss.

To The Luchansky Family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Ed and I grew up together
on Central Ave. We lived across the street from each other. I have
a lot of memories of those days. I remember when my son was born
in 1968 he was on staff at St V's and had come into visit. May he
rest in peace.

Donna and family - so very sorry to read of Ed's passing. He was the most wonderful doctor. He was calm, relaxing and supportive during my labor and delivery - all those many years ago. He will be greatly missed. Sorry I will not be able to attend the services this weekend. Much love to you all.

So sorry to hear of Dr. Luchanskys passing. He was a quiet force in the delivery room, ready to help, guide and teach the resident physicians and the nurses. Dr L had endless patience and a dry wit that I enjoyed. He occasionally had very interesting facial expressions that we all enjoyed. My condolences and may God bless your family.

Ed was a great man. He and I would talk about Prep all the time and he was always a great man to work with. We laughed many times together over the business of obstetrics (and anesthesia). What a loss. In your sadness PLEASE remember how many lives he touched and educated. I learned much from him that I still teach today. We are all better people and providers because of him. Thank you for sharing him with us!
