Erika Aanensen

Aanensen, Erika CErika Caroline (Volkmann) Aanensen, age 98, of Bridgeport, passed away March 1, 2016 in CT Hospice, Branford, CT. Mrs. Aanensen was born in Germany to the late Karl and Marie Volkmann. She was a retired food supervisor for Bridgeport Hospital and Park City Hospital for almost 25 years. She was a lifetime member of the Germania Schwaben Club. Family and friends brought her joy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include three children Linda Shlonsky, Roseann Giordanella and Norman Aanensen, 20 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Einar Aanensen; two daughters Sonja Pazinak and Diana Boulton; and her sister Martha Crumb. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull with the Revered Todd Shipley officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may greet the family from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
