Gloria Ivanoff

IVANOFF Gloria S. Kruk Ivanoff, age 88, of Trumbull, widow of Stephen G. Ivanoff, passed away on Wednesday April 4, 2012 in Maefair Health Center, Trumbull. Mrs. Ivanoff, a retired employee of Remington Arms was born in Ansonia to the late Joseph and Mildred (Chupko) Kruk and has been a life long area resident. She was a graduate of Ansonia High School and Stone Business College. Gloria was an avid bowler and a member of the Barnum Duckpin Lanes, and the Remington Engineering and Accounting Bowling Leagues; she was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary # 177 since 1957. Survivors include her beloved children Vivian Philbrick and her husband Ellsworth of Monroe, and Nicholas Ivanoff and his wife Carolyn of Seymour, her "adopted daughter" Geraldine Swanson and her husband Marc of Stratford, 5 cherished grandchildren who were the pride of her life Stephen, George and Joseph Philbrick, and Nicholas and Genevieve Ivanoff, and a nephew Marc St. Onge and his family of CA. In addition to her beloved husband Stephen and her parents, she was pre-deceased by her sister Stella Hylwa and her husband Paul, and her sister-in-law Vera St. Onge. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday April 10th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church, 1540 E. Main Street, Bridgeport, for a Requiem Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Steven Belonick. Interment will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ansonia.
