Ida Ciano Obituary

CIANO Mrs. Ida Ciano, age 69, beloved wife of 49 years to Learco Ciano of Milford, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2009, after a courageous battle and long illness, in Lord Chamberlain, Stratford, surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Francesco and Teresa Agostino Panuccio, she was born on June 9, 1940 in Gioiosa Ionica R.C., Italy. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Ida's favorite pastimes included cooking for her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband, she leaves two devoted daughters, Elizabeth Knipstein and her husband, Mark and Maria Martyn and her husband, Tony, all of Milford; and a son, Anthony Ciano and his wife, Angela of Erie, Colo.; and seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Cathryn, Nicole, Julia, Kimberly, Patrick, and Joseph. She is also survived by six brothers, Dominic Panuccio of Pennsylvania, Frank Panuccio of Italy, Tony Panuccio and Vincent Panuccio, both of New Jersey, Rocco Panuccio of Las Vegas, Nev., and Joseph Panuccio, M.D. of Italy; and many nieces and nephews. Services from the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the Redeemer Church, Milford. Interment in King's Highway Cemetery, Milford. Family and friends may call on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. www.codywhitefuneralservice.com .
