Jacob Pollack

POLLACK Jacob (Jack) Pollack, age 90, of Coconut Creek Florida passed away on Monday April 30, 2012. Mr. Pollack was born in New York City, a son of the late David and Henrietta Pollack. Mr. Pollack was a Bridgeport resident until moving to Florida about 10 years ago. He was a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and was president of Brown and Pollack Motor Lines, a trucking company offering guaranteed overnight delivery to the NY, NJ, and CT tri-state area. He had a fond love for architecture and to prove to himself he could have been an architect, he designed his North End Bridgeport home, built in the early 1950's. His design was very contemporary for the time and received a full page write-up in the Bridgeport newspaper. He was an avid handball player, bowler, golfer and enjoyed painting. He is survived by his wife Agnes Pollack of Coconut Creek, Florida, his son Donald Pollack and his wife Shirley Schwartz-Pollack of Huntington, CT. He is pre deceased by his brothers Bertram Pollack, Richard Pollack and William Pollack. Services will take place on Thursday May 3rd at 1:00 pm Directly at Loyalty Cemetery, Burroughs Road, Fairfield CT. The Abraham L.
