Mary Trembeczki Sara, 87, of Fairfield, beloved wife to the late Philip Sara, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2015.
She will be remembered by her family including her children Gary Sara of Stamford, Janet Marotto and her husband Joseph of Stratford and Laura Dwinells and her husband Willard of Trumbull; her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Sara and his wife Ashley, Stephanie Sara, Mark Marotto, Johanna and William Dwinells; her sister, Margaret Rosenthal and her husband Albert of Shelton; one sister in law, Rose Trembeczki of Monroe; one brother in law, David of Shelton; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by her sister, Ann Boyle, and brothers, Joseph and Frank Trembeczki.
Born and raised in Bridgeport, Mary was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Fogarosi Trembeczki. After graduating from Bassick High School in 1946, Mary worked as a secretary for First National Bank. In addition to caring for her husband and children, Mary enjoyed bowling and playing cards with family and friends. She was also talented at creating ceramic art pieces, several of which are now family treasures.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM directly in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, on Huntington Green with Reverend Amjad Samuel officiating. Her interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
