Richard Pfenninger Obituary
Rochester: Died Sunday, April 6, 2014. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Edna Pfenninger and sister, Mary Schroeder. He is survived by his children, Michelle (Jake) Selenchik, Jason Pfenninger; 2 grandsons; a great granddaughter; brother, George "Ed" (Barbara) Pfenninger; brother-in-law, John Schroeder; former wife and friend, Rachel; close friends, John Shelly, Peggy Calkins and nieces and nephews. Rick became an Eagle scout in 1962. He is a graduate of Aquinas High School, class of 1964. He was a United States Air Force veteran who served his country during the Viet Nam War, an Eastman Kodak retiree and until a few years ago, Rick was a member of the American Legion Greece Post #468. He will be best remembered for his love of golf. He was a member of Pinewood Country Club where he proudly achieved a hole-in-one.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 11 from 4-6PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd., where a memorial service will immediately follow calling at 6PM. Private internment. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Rick's memory to Boy Scout troop 68, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615. To share a special memory, please visit:

I spent many days with Rick and Ed. We lived about 6 houses apart. We went through boy scouts together during those years. Great times especially summer camp. I think of them often.

I only saw Rick every few years but it always seemed seamless. We spent lots of time together in the Flower City Park area many years ago. I crossed his path several times at Kodak. God bless brother, my condolences to Ed and Mary and Rick's family.
