Ronald G. Vashlishan, 66 of Oxford, CT entered into peaceful rest August 2, 2012 at the Yale New Haven Hospital; he was the beloved husband of Deborah (Ravina) Vashlishan. Mr.Vashlishan was born March 20, 1946 in Scranton, PA, loving son of Julia (Labonich) Vashlishan of Tobyhanna, PA, and the late John Vashlishan. Ronald was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft, Stratford; he was a longtime softball coach for Oxford Little League, and he enjoyed woodworking, fly fishing, and gardening.
In addition to his wife and mother, Ronald leaves his loving daughters, Amy Vashlishan Murray and her husband Shane of South Boston, MA, and Tera Ravina Hatler and her husband Kyle of Rutherford, NJ, a brother, Stephen Vashlishan of Tobyhanna, PA, his grandson, Jackson Murray , a niece Nicole and nephew Michael.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church (DIRECTLY) , 733 Oxford Rd., Oxford. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Calling Hours are Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Debbie and Family.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Ron. Although we haven't seen each other in years, he was a big part of my life growing up on Prospect St.
