Blade, Rosemary
Rosemary Blade, age 76, of Shelton entered into rest on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Ravena, NY on Oct. 23, 1936 daughter of the late Gilbert and Louise Carrk Molella. Rosemary was a Bridgeport resident for most of her life until moving to Shelton six years ago. She attended the Nursing School of Albany. Rosemary was the cook at Jerry's Pizza for many years and at Golden Heights Manor for 20 years until her retirement. Rosemary worked with " The Children of Ravena". "Rosie" was a selfless woman who wore a big smile and dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid fan of the N.Y. Yankees and UCONN Women's Basketball. Rosemary is the loving mother of, Paul (Vera) Blade, LuAnne (John) Fitzgerald, James Blade, Dawn (Michael) Tallo and the late Karen Blade-Tew, sister of, Gilbert Molella, Carmella Smith, the late Joseph Molella and the late Mary Pero. She is the loving grandmother of, Brandie, James, Michael, Dawn, Anthony, Sara, Nicholas, Stephen and Jordan, great grandmother of, MacKenzie, Tyler, Hayden, Anabella, Jaxton and Nathan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. n Saturday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Her entombment will follow at Mt. St. Peter's Garden Mausoleum. Friends may leave condolences at www.riverviewfh.com.
