Thomas Wynne Obituary

WYNNE Thomas J. Wynne Sr., age 77, previously of Stratford, died peacefully Thursday, February 12, 2009 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Born in Bridgeport to the late William B. Wynne and Elizabeth (McLoughlin) Wynne, he had been a lifelong area resident. A graduate of Fairfield College Prepatory School, he attended Fairfield University. He was employed at The United Illuminating Co. where he retired from after more than 40 years of service. Survivors include his daughter, Margaret Strachan and her sons, David and Ryan; his son, Thomas J. Wynne Jr. and Barbara H. Zamolsky and their son, Michael of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and two sisters, Margaret and Mary Ellen Wynne of Stratford. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Jacqueline (Powers) Wynne and his brothers, William, Frank, and Terrance. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church in Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
