She died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.
Born Jan. 26, 1927, in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late John H. Cuff and Louise (Conn) Cuff and the widow of Walter Washington, who died March 10, 2004.
A graduate of Carlisle High School, she enjoyed dancing, music and flowers.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Harrisburg.
Mrs. Washington is survived by four sons, James Brooks and John Brooks, both of Harrisburg, Larry Graves of Maryland, and Nathaniel B. Washington of Harrisburg; five daughters, Kathleen Banks, Diane Brooks, Jean Brooks, Laurie Sinclair and Celestine Forney, all of Harrisburg; five sisters, Mary Strawn and Barbara George, both of Harrisburg, Margaret Tippitt of Middletown, Theresa Wiggins of Hershey, and Louise Bailey of Lancaster; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Cuff, Francis Cuff, Milton Cuff and John Wesley Cuff; and three sisters, Mary Louise Cuff, Delores Cuff, and Elizabeth Pierre.
The Rev. Daniel Mitzel will officiate at services. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
