Services for Lorraine Clara Herd, 71, of Pelion, S.C., will be at 11 a.m. today at the Covenant Community Fellowship Church, with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens, Columbia, S.C.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, Lexington, S.C., is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 520 Gervais St., Columbia, SC 29201.
Mrs. Herd, widow of Charles E. Herd, died Sunday, March 27, 2005.
Born Oct. 1, 1933, in St. Louis, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph and Lorraine Clara Lyons. Mrs. Herd was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, James Doyle of Carlisle, Thomas E. Doyle of Newville, John F. Doyle of St. Louis, Mo., William A . Doyle of Carlisle and Charles E. Herd Jr. of Pelion; daughters, Lorraine C. Dana of Pelion and Diane L. Egan of Gaston, S.C.; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Judy L. Doyle; son, Joseph John Doyle; and grandson, Billy Mason Jr.
