ROBERT BIDGOOD Obituary
He was born June 19, 1922, in Chicago to Clyde and Margaret (Kendall) Bidgood. He served in the United States Army from 1942-1946 and was in the Naval Reserves from 1960-1961. On November 5, 1949, he married Florence Van Der Molen. He was a Master Mason, a member of Lodge 144 in DeKalb and the Local 701 IBEW union. He worked as an electrician from 1953 until his retirement in 1985.
He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Suzanne) Bidgood of Sandwich and Scott (Elizabeth) Bidgood of St. Charles; and his grandson, Scott R. Bidgood.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Florence; his grandson, Michael James Bidgood; and his siblings, Tom and Phyllis.
A Masonic service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, at First Baptist Church, 349 South Third St., DeKalb. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.

Even though we are going to miss Bob greatly, we are consoled that he is now with the love of his life, Florence. He has missed her so much. Bob really enjoyed a weekend at the ABA Assembly, Green Lake, WI for the annual "Country Christmas" and he was visiting with everyone - Bob never met a person he couldn't converse with. What a joy and blessing Bob and Florence were in our lives.

We joyed having Bob in the "Y" water exercise class. He mentioned his Dr. told him to give up the class. I thought just for a while. He was a joy to have in class. God Bless him and his family, Janie Torma, instructure

We lived next door to Bob and Florence, had a lot of great conversations with Bob over the years. He had a great sense of humor. He will be truly missed. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers

So sorry to hear of Bob's death. We both enjoyed his sense of humor so much. Dan gave him a ride to get his car once and he would often ask, "Do you need a ride?" Our condolences to his family...now Bob & Florence will be reunited in Heaven!
