Waclaw Stolarski Obituary

Waclaw Stolarski was born April 4, 1916, age 91. He was the son of Wladyslaw and Rozalia Stolarski of EWY, Poland. The last surviving member of twelve children. He was born on a farm in Poland. He was preceded in death by his wife Winifred May Cartney. Waclaw is survived by three children Sue (Sig) Stronski of Orlando, FL, David (Susan) Stolarski of Ypsilanti, MI and Phil (Cindy) Stolarski of Sacramento, CA, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of the Polish Air Force Academy. Waclaw fought in WWII and was captured by the Germans and Russians but escaped and fought against the Germans in the Battle of Britain. He met his future wife Winifred in England and they married in Chicago on February 14, 1950. Worked at US Steel Southworks for 33 years. Friends may call at Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave, Chicago on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 3-9 p.m. Funeral Services Friday 9:30 a.m. Prayers to St. Francis De Sales Church. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. 773-731-2749.

Our sincerest condolences to the entire family on the passing of your father and grandfather. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you say good-bye for now. He almost made it to "sto lat" and had a full, long life.
