GREENVILLE — Ronald "Ron" L. Jeffers, 69, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, March 07, 2017 at his residence. He was born Sunday, June 01, 1947, in West Manchester, Ohio, a son of the late John and Geneva (Brinkley) Jeffers.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, John David Jeffers and Rickey Jeffers
Ron served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a member of the Greenville Baptist Temple. He loved to go to garage sales, enjoyed going out to eat, loved going to church and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and caring grandfather.
Ron is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda (Martindale) Jeffers, whom he married Dec. 19, 1970; daughters, Rhonda Smith of Germantown, and Krystal (Rob) Lindenborn of Arcanum; grandchildren, Zachariah Smith and Grace Smith, both of Germantown, Blake Lindenborn of Arcanum and a stepgrandson, Timothy Russo of Midway Park, North Carolina; his brothers, Steve (Sally) Jeffers and Tim (Judy) Jeffers, both of Greenville; his sisters, Connie L. Taulbee and Caren E. Long, both of Greenville; an uncle, Daniel Hittle of Greenville; a sister-in-law, Connie (Jack) Pence of Piqua; and his beloved dog Lucy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Greenville Baptist Temple, 4689 Children's Home - Bradford Road, Greenville, with Pastor Daniel Berdine officiating. Burial, with full military honors provided by the Greenville Honor Guard, will follow in Monroe Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Friday from 10 a.m.-12 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Darke County Sheriff's Patrol, c/o Doug Riffle, 5718 Requarth Road, Greenville, OH 45331 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
