Charlotte Cooper Obituary

COOPER Charlotte Redd Cooper, age 74, lovely mother of four and faithful wife to Richard M. Cooper for 56 years went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2008. Charlotte graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1951. She studied and obtained a Degree in Floral Design Composition from Chicago's “American Floral Art School.” After raising her family, she founded, “Prestige Floral Supply”, to display her enormous talents, servicing Southern Georgia and Northern Florida for many years before retirement. Her love for God was and still is her top priority. She was an active member of Blanding Blvd. Baptist Church in Jacksonville her entire life before moving to Macclenny just 10 short years ago. Charlotte loved living in Macclenny, FL for the peace, serenity and closeness of the community. There she resumed her worship of the lord at Calvary Baptist Church. Her love for the Lord and passion for floral design manifested itself in floral arrangements for the services at the church as a testament to her devotion to our most loving God. She is predeceased by her sister, Anna Jean Suttles. She is survived by her husband , Richard M. Cooper, Jr.; her four children: Cheryl Stripling (George) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Nancy Smith (Don) of Fort White, FL, Wayne Cooper of Jacksonville, FL. Charlotte and I were good friends during our days at Lee. I extend to all her family my deepest sympathy. As has been said many times over, "the good die young" and 74 is young. God Bless all of you. Joan Zeitlinger Fernandez, Class of '51
