When I was in high school and college, Grandpa Gene inspired my interest and passion for philosophy as well as history and literature. As a young boy, he taught me how to read the Racing Forum. I miss him.

God Bless GGG. He was a very smart man who loved my Great Grandma Kay very much. I am going to miss him alot. I am lucky enough to have the family that he created. We all love each other very much.

For 35 years, Gene has been a gracious,kindly, and sweet neighbor. We shall miss his quiet, dignified presence. For a long time, Gene and my husband, Brad, were the only Democrats on the block. They enjoyed their infrequent, but heartfelt conversations.
