Manuel John Pichardo Jr.

Manuel John Pichardo, Jr., 99, was born on May 27, 1924 and passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on September 8, 2023. Manuel lived his entire life in his hometown of San Pedro. He was the oldest son with five younger sisters. He is survived by his sisters: Josie Jackson and Grace Smith; children: Deniese (Michael) Britton and Gregory Pichardo; grandchildren: Gregory Pichardo, Jr., Danielle Britton, Tyler Britton, Micayla Britton; great grandchildren: Chace Dunn and Ryder Dunn and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Manuel Pichardo, Sr. and Margarita Pichardo; wife: Jean (Williams) Pichardo; sisters: Rose Wright, Lucy Gregg and Bee Rados. Manuel was a contractor and built many residential homes in San Pedro. He finally laid down his hammer at the age of 83 years old. He loved being with family, friends, traveling and especially listening to music and dancing. He will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5 from 5-7pm and services on October 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Coastal Mortuary Chapel, 25001 Narbonne Ave, Lomita, CA 90717 followed by a graveside military honors presentation at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes.
