Two photos from Scouts. I don't know the year but we look pretty young. 1969? 1970? 1971? In the photo on the trail I believe that is Mark on the far left. That is me standing in the middle with my head tilted and and hand waving. My older brother Will is seated to my right. In the second photo where we are "attacking" Mr. White our scout leader Mark is in the back right behind Scott Savador's arm.

Whenever I think of Mark I picture his smiling face. How could anyone be so happy so often? Oh yeah, he was Mark! He had it all, kindness, leadership, intelligence, good looks and charisma. You wanted to be in his circle. I was lucky enough to be so.

Very sorry for your loss, which is a loss for all of us who knew him. Recently someone asked me "What was your first concert?" It was the Eagles, Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstadt at Anaheim Stadium in 1977. The only reason I even knew about it and got to go was because Mark invited me. If I recall, the ticket was a gift. This is a memory that will always be tied to Mark´s friendship and generosity.

Mark was a wonderful person. He was so kind, always positive and a great person. Our families grew up together and we are so saddened to hear about Mark's passing. Our hearts and prayers are with the Ozawa family.

I remember a man who dropped everything and came to our sides when we needed an ear. He helped us build our house.
I cannot comprehend the thought of Mark not being in this world.
May his spirit find peace, may his family find comfort.

So sorry to hear about Mark's passing away. We met and knew Mark from our yearly visits to St.Lucia' s Windjammer Landing. He was always so engaged and made our stay there welcome and peasant. He and his work will be missed.
Our deepest condoleansces to his family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mark's passing. I went to elementary school and high school with Mark. I remember Mark as a lovely guy with a great smile. After college, I heard that Mark had gone into the hospitality business and I thought it was a perfect fit given his smarts, graciousness, and that big smile.
My heartfelt condolences to the entire Ozawa family.

Mark & I went to THS together, but as we grew older, our paths crossed quite a bit. I'm glad he had a career based in "Paradise". Blessings & fond memories to all of the Ozawa Family, as well as all of us who were lucky to know him as a friend.

I am so saddened to hear this news. Even though Mark and I lost touch in our adult years, I have great memories of our childhood in Scouts and our years in high school. Mark always seemed to be smiling and that helped others around him to do the same. Mark and I started our friendship in Cub Scouts, shared crowded tube tents in torrential downpours in the mountains in Boy Scouts, insane two-a-day Hell Week practices under Coach Zartman, school dances and pep rallies. I looked up to Mark for his intelligence and leadership. I really believed that he would be our first Japanese-American President. I feel lucky to have been his friend.
I am so sorry for your loss and just wanted you to know that his influence and friendship spread far and wide.
