Michael Bowers Obituary

Michael J. Bowers, 52, of Mill Run, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, and went to be with his Lord, while comforted at home with his loving family. He was born Dec. 7, 1961, in Connellsville, a son of the late Casey and Elizabeth Pearl Shroyer Bowers. Michael enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding his quads and fishing. He will be forever missed by his family, but never forgotten. He is survived by the following sisters, Shirley Lake, Brenda and Wanda Bowers, all of Mil Run, with whom he resided; three brothers, Marvin Bowers, of Uniontown, Fred Bowers, of Mill Run and Jerry Bowers, of Normalville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Emma Bowers, Dorothy Snyder and Roxanne Keefer; and a brother-in-law, John Lake. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and until 11 a.m. Wednesday, the hour of service with Pastor Ron Schaeffer officiating at the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. 1st St., West Side, Connellsville, 724-628-9033. Interment will follow in Indian Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Mill Run.
